Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Interior Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Assist Senior Interior Designers with evaluations, selections and applications for interior design concepts

• Work under broad, general supervision

• Require basic knowledge of programming and functional analysis as well as knowledge of space planning principles

• Apply design principles in development and preparation of presentation drawings

• Interpret plans, specifications, knowledge of interior code requirements, and construction administration procedures

• Demonstrate experience in selecting interior finishes, materials, furniture and furnishings selections, lighting design, space planning, and detailing

• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design or closely related field

• Knowledge or experience in commercial and corporate architectural interiors projects

• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Photoshop

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Position: Interior Designer

In the role of Interior Designer, we'll count on you to:

•Take responsibility for interior design for projects

•Develop functional requirements and project design complexities

•Demonstrate substantial knowledge of interior design and planning principles, building and planning code requirements, specification preparation and organization, construction costs and methods, and contract preparation and negotiation

•Demonstrate experience in selecting interior details, materials, color selections, furniture and furnishings selections, lighting design, space planning, and detailing

•Take responsibility for assignments with specified objectives that require investigation of many alternatives

•Work with clients on projects of any size

•Direct work efforts of others, develop detailed design concepts, produce contract documents, interpret ordinances and interpret client needs

•Write specifications covering interior design matters, and perform code reviews

•Coordinate work with other disciplines

•Assist other Interior Designers or Technicians, and work in all phases of the interior design process

•Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design or closely related field

•5+ years experience required, healthcare-related projects preferred

•May require NCIDQ exam, ID certificate or license in state where

•Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Photoshop

•Strong oral and written communication skills and experience working on large project teams

•Proficiency with and experience using Microsoft Office

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The Creative Design Manager sets the strategic goals, mission, and approach for design services. The Creative Design Manager oversees the creative and design process and ultimately shapes the design experience for our design team as well as for external partners, clients, and greater community. The Creative Design Manager engages new and existing clients in forward thinking discussions and workshops to better help our clients identify and solve strategic challenges within their organizations. The Creative Design Manager is responsible for sharing the Workspace Inc design vision both internally and externally, promoting Human Centric design principles in all areas of Workspace Inc. operations. The Creative Design Manager is ultimately responsible for the performance of design division productivity, performance, financial stability, client engagement, and ability to solve complex challenges. Responsibilities include setting the overall strategic direction of Design, managing the design business, development of the Design yearly budget, managing design resources, reviewing income statements, creating a customer satisfaction environment, supporting continuous improvement and marketing design services. The Creative Design Manager reports directly to Glenn Oberlin and partners with other leadership to accomplish Workplace Inc business and strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate must have intimate knowledge of Human Centered Design principles including Design Thinking methodologies. They must be comfortable leading large teams, hosting workshops for groups of all sizes, and engaging in public speaking. They must be self-motivated and a creative problem solver with an optimistic outlook and ability to find consensus in difficult or challenging scenarios.

An ideal candidate would be a detail oriented, creative problem solver who is confident in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform interior design assignments that include conceptual design, schematic design, design development & construction documents and furniture and materials procurement.
  • Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects. from initial meeting to project order.
  • Educate architects, designers and clients on the company, manufactures and products represented by Koch Brothers.
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
  • Participate in selection of furniture systems and ancillary furnishings and accessories; create FF&E specifications.
  • Provide project team coordination for the plans, specifications and materials.
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and samples.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Experience creating bid documents and developing furniture standards· Coordinate procurement installation schedules phases
  • Programming, schematic/conceptual design, design development, contract documents, procurement contract administration, project management of project until completion and client satisfaction.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Interior Design degree from a 4 year accredited program minimum required
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch up and 3d rendering a plus
  • Additional knowledge in specification software is a plus
  • Background and experience in workplace design.
  • Well rounded experience in FF&E specification, as well as design development, construction documentation and construction administration.
  • Experience in Furniture Specification, bid documentation and bidding analysis
  • Familiarity with major commercial furniture lines.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.
