Mike Nesbit (Architectural Designer and Fine Artist from Los Angeles), Ross Miller (Architectural Designer, Project Manager, and AIA Omaha Associate Director from Omaha), and Shawn Wentworth (Director of Business Development for Enterprise Precast Concrete from Omaha) will discuss how a community-involved and locally inspired Art/Architectural installation (placed within a forgotten urban infrastructure) can promote design awareness and serve as a catalyst for positive urban renewal. The show is antithetical to the contemporary landmark museum: FLOOD utilizes the existing urban fabric as an alternative to create an exhibition space out of the infrastructure that already exists, a museum that becomes interdependent through partnerships with local industry and small businesses. FLOOD won the Product Design category at the 2018 IDEA Awards. Their newest installation, THE BLUES, opens October 20th near Ames, Iowa.
