IOWA ADVOCACY WORKING GROUP
Iowa’s Advocacy Working Group is a small group of design professionals who advocate for the recognition and promotion of interior design registration to strengthen the understanding of the impact of design professionalism in code-impacted environments where Iowans work and live.
Our group members include three to four representatives who live or work in Iowa and actively participate in advocacy on the Chapter Board or as members of either our Des Moines or Eastern Iowa City Centers. These City Centers represent the major population areas in our state. At least two of the Working Group members must be NCIDQ certified and Registered with the State or demonstrate proof they are pursuing NCIDQ certification. Our Working Group also works closely with our lobbyists and IIDA Headquarters’ Advocacy and Policy Directors to stay up-to-date in addressing current developments impacting the health, safety and welfare of Iowans in code-impacted interior environments.
