What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? Do what is best for you, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, do what makes you happy, its your life.

How do you record your ideas? I have my phone with me most of the time so it is convenient for recording ideas - I can take a picture, look up some product, take notes, even draw a quick sketch.

What book is on your nightstand? Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, I have just started reading it but I am really enjoying it and can’t wait to finish it.

Do you have anything in your home that you’ve designed/created? I built a couple different things – a purpleheart wood and maple side table and an oak laundry drying rack.

What inspired you to go into your line of work? Growing up I spent a lot of time with my dad helping him remodel our house, I think that it sparked my interest in design. It was a long process and it is still not completely finished but seeing the way things have turned out is exciting.

When needing a break from it all what helps you escape? Anything outside – biking, kayaking, boating, just getting outside away from the computer and hanging with friends.
