What book is on your nightstand? The Go Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It’s a quick read but is a book that applies to business and your personal life. I highly recommend it.

Do you have anything in your home that you’ve designed/created? I love to design and build furniture. I’ve built a bench that contains a dog kennel and has large flanking storage units.

Do you have any rules or philosophies that steer you in design and/or career? Be kind to people. Listen and understand what people are asking for but be able to read between the lines. Sometimes they aren’t fully aware of what they need.

What new product(s) are you excited to use in upcoming work? Of course I’m biased to OFS. We have so many new products like Leanto and Obeya that I’m excited to see applied to projects.

What words of advice do you have for passionate interior designers early in their career? Push the envelope but realize that you can learn a lot from senior designers. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and know that you will fail at some point. It’s the best way to learn.

What are the last five songs you’ve listened to?
Paradise City – Guns N Roses, Fat Bottom Girls – Queen, More Than Words – Extreme, Dr Feelgood – Motely Crue, Poison – Alice Cooper. #addictedtoconcerts

How have you found IIDA invaluable? I love the friendships I’ve made in IIDA. It’s a wonderful way to meet people with the same passion you have. It’s also a way to find people that can relate to work struggles you may have.
