Director of Marketing & Business Development Position Summary

As the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Holland Basham Architects your role is to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the firm's services, enhance its brand image,and drive business growth. You will work closely with the firm's leadership team, including architects and partners, to understand their goals and objectives, and align marketing efforts accordingly. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creative vision, and leadership skills. By effectively promoting the firm's services and enhancing its brand image, you will contribute to its growth and success in the competitive architecture industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Strategic Planning: Develop marketing strategies and initiatives aligned with the firm's overall business objectives. Identify target markets, assess competition, and conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the firm's leadership to define marketing goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Branding and Positioning: Establish and maintain a strong brand identity for the architecture firm. Develop branding guidelines and ensure consistent application across all marketing materials. Position the firm as a leader in the industry through effective messaging and communication strategies.

• Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to generate leads and increase brand visibility. Utilize various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and traditional advertising, to reach target audiences. Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.

• Content Development: Oversee the creation of engaging and compelling content that showcases the firm's expertise and thought leadership. Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to develop case studies, articles, blog posts, whitepapers, and other relevant content. Ensure content is optimized for search engines and aligns with the firm's brand voice and messaging.

• Digital Marketing and Online Presence: Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to enhance the firm's online presence. Working with the Marketing Coordinator, manage the firm's website, including content updates, SEO optimization, and user experience improvements. Leverage social media platforms, online advertising, and other digital channels to engage with the target audience and drive website traffic.

• Business Development Support: Lead and coordinate proposal and bid preparation processes, ensuring high-quality submissions. Provide strategic input to support the firm's pursuitof new projects and opportunities. Identify and attend industry conferences,events, and networking opportunities to expand the firm's professional network.

• Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies that could impact the firm's operations. Conduct competitive analysis and identify areas for differentiation. Translate marketin sights into actionable strategies and recommendations for the firm's leadership.

• Team Management: Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Allocate resources effectively and prioritize projects to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor expenses, track ROI, and provide regular reports on marketing activities and results to the firm's leadership.

• Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration between the marketing team and other departments within the firm. Work closely with architects, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts align with the firm's vision and goals.
