IIDA Great Plains relies on members (like you!) to develop and foster the design community. There are several volunteer opportunities to support your interest level. Build friendships and leadership skills along the way!
The Great Plains Chapter offers many opportunities to fit your talents and level of time and commitment available. From helping with a city center event to serving on the Board of Directors, there is a place for you here. Each Spring the Great Plains Chapter accepts applications for Board of Directors and Directors. If interested in volunteering contact our VP of Members.

Volunteer on an ongoing basis as part of our Advocacy Committee in either Nebraska or Iowa. Support VP of Advocacy and our lobbyists with outreach, strategy, and legislative support.
Become a VolunteerFor each Signature Event (like IDEA), an Event Chair is selected along with 3-6 committee members. Time commitment is approximately six months. Tasks can include: programming, planning content, production, graphics, and venue.
Become a VolunteerWorks in tandem with Vice Presidents of the Board to achieve their goals, initiatives, and to plan events. One-year term
Become a VolunteerDevelop and oversee the strategic plan of the Chapter, operate with our mission to elevate, advocate, and celebrate the profession of Interior Design in Iowa and Nebraska. Two-year term (President-Elect/President/Past President is a three-year term) Must be an IIDA member for twelve consecutive months.
