Facilities Planner

As a Facilities Planner at Wellmark, you will be primarily responsible for providing the corporation with facilities that are not only safe and comfortable, but that encourage employee productivity and enhance the office experience. This includes strategic space planning, space design and development, project contracting, and managing all aspects of corporate office relocations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Interior Design and want to be part of a collaborative team where you get to use your creativity to have an impact on the organization. Candidates should also utilize strong project management/organizational skills and demonstrate solid analytical thinking that allows you to recognize problems of moderate scope and complexity and, independently, can develop potential solutions and courses of action.

Job Accountabilities
• Successfully provide facilities that are safe, comfortable, and meet employee productivity requirements by applying industry best practices in design, management and maintenance.
• Achieve compliance with regulatory authorities by assuring that facilities planning meets building codes, fire codes, and ADA requirements.
• Successfully remain within project budgets through accurate estimating and project management.
• Maintain effective relationships with all business partners.
• Provide project management or support for other cross functional projects as needed.
• Manage and direct the work of outside vendors used for project support, as needed.
• Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the most complex move projects for the organization.
• Provide space planning for event planning activities, as appropriate.
• Provide and maintain accurate data for use in workforce management system.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or direct and applicable work experience
• Minimum of one year experience within a facilities operations role including but not limited to assurance of compliance with regulatory authorities, space design and development, and managing office relocations
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including the use of spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing software
• Demonstrated experience measuring and evaluating work processes, and utilizing appropriate resources to identify next steps, potential impacts/risks, and solutions
• Good verbal and written communication skills; develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve the goal of the department/division
• Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively manage a fast passed workload and troubleshooting issues as they arise
