How do you record your ideas?
I capture my ideas by collecting project research, inspirations, and early concepts in PowerPoint. It serves as a flexible workspace where I can visually organize information and shape a clear plan for moving forward.
What book is on your nightstand?
Louise Penny’s The Black Wolf.
Years ago, while our daughters were playing high school basketball, I asked Heather Gudenkauf—now a New York Times bestselling author—what she was reading. She introduced me to Three Pines, the charming fictional Canadian village that serves as the setting for all of Louise Penny’s novels.
Do you have anything in your home that you’ve designed/created?
Ten years ago, we purchased what we jokingly call the ‘Mullet House’: business in the front, party in the back. The front is a traditional 1950s ranch, while the back opens into a 1970s circular addition inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. Over the years, my husband and I have enjoyed finding and refinishing MCM pieces to turn the home into our own little retreat.
Do you have any rules or philosophies that steer you in design and/or career?
Trust your instincts.
When needing a break from it all what helps you escape?
Live music, Theatre, NYC, Supper Clubs, Craft breweries
What are the last five songs you’ve listened to?
Harry Styles’ new album: Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally; Moon Song by Phoebe Bridgers, Come Over by Noah Kahan, Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, Do I Wanna Know? By Hozier.
