How do you record your ideas?
I am a tried and true notes app girl! Any innovative ideas that pop into my head go there until I get a chance to get them on paper.
What might we find on your desk right now?
Framed postcards from Italy, colorful pens, and a latte.
Who/what sources do you look for for drive and inspiration?
I think as interior designers, we find beauty in the smallest detail. When I travel, I pay attention to those details and am constantly finding inspiration from how other people have created solutions to everything in livable space, from small to large scale!
What inspired you to go into your line of work?
Interior design is an imperfect blend of visual art, technical skills, research, psychology, communication, and so much more; a combination of some of the things I value. There is always a puzzle to solve, and designers will always be needed to generate new ideas and propose solutions based on their personal experience.
What words of advice do you have for passionate interior designers early in their career?
Just be a sponge! Everything you learn or experience is worth something, and everyone around you has knowledge that is valuable to your career and life experience.
When needing a break from it all, what helps you escape?
I am a huge proponent of the fact that you can solve anything by taking a walk!
