Job Details: AOI is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Designer to join our Furniture Division.

What You’ll Do:

Design with Purpose: Develop space plans, furniture layouts, finish palettes, renderings, and installation drawings that meet aesthetic and functional goals. You’ll design for a diverse range of environments — from corporate offices and healthcare facilities to education, government, and hospitality spaces — giving you exposure to projects of all sizes and styles.

Collaborate to Create: Collaborate daily with Account Executives, Project Managers, and the Installation team to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion.

Lead the Process: Manage design projects from field measurements and programming through final installation and post-project review.

Be the Expert: Apply deep product knowledge of MillerKnoll systems and core ancillary lines to craft innovative and compliant solutions.

Represent AOI: Participate in client presentations, site visits, and industry events as a trusted design advisor and brand ambassador.

Stay Current: Maintain up-to-date expertise in design trends, materials, and product innovations, ensuring every project reflects best-in-class creativity and precision.

What We’re Looking:

  • For Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. 3+years of professional experience in commercial interiors or contract furniture design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, CET Designer, and CAP Designer for drawings, renderings, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, building codes, and ADA compliance.
  • A creative mindset and a propensity for generating solutions that solve problems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, manage deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning, professional development, and continuous improvement.
